The trail then continues through Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Lho, Samagaon, and Samdo before crossing the famous Larkya La Pass (5,106m). Along the journey, you will enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Cheo Himal, Ganesh Himal, and many other snow-covered peaks.

Manaslu Circuit Trek 16 Days Itinerary
Your Manaslu Circuit Trek begins with an early morning drive from Kathmandu. The road follows beautiful rivers, green hills, small villages, and terraced farms. After reaching Arughat, the road becomes more adventurous as you continue toward Machha Khola. This is the starting point of your trekking journey. Spend the night at a local teahouse and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Driving Time: 8–9 hours
After breakfast, begin walking along the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail crosses several suspension bridges and passes small villages, waterfalls, and rocky paths. You will enjoy beautiful mountain scenery and experience the peaceful lifestyle of the local people. Jagat is a charming stone village and the official entrance to the Manaslu Conservation Area.
Walking Time: 6–7 hours
Today’s trail passes through forests, narrow valleys, and traditional villages. You will cross several suspension bridges and walk beside the Budhi Gandaki River for much of the day. Along the way, you will notice Tibetan-style houses and prayer flags as the culture begins to change. Deng is a quiet mountain village surrounded by beautiful forests.
Walking Time: 6–7 hours
The trail gradually climbs through pine forests and peaceful villages. You will pass several mani walls, chortens, and Buddhist prayer wheels. As you gain altitude, the mountain views become even more impressive. Namrung offers your first clear views of Mount Manaslu and nearby Himalayan peaks.
Walking Time: 6–7 hours
Today is one of the most scenic days of the Manaslu trekking route. Walk through beautiful villages like Lho and Shyala while enjoying amazing views of Mount Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Ngadi Chuli. Visit local monasteries and experience the rich Tibetan Buddhist culture before arriving at the beautiful village of Samagaon.
Walking Time: 6–7 hours
This rest day is very important for a safe and successful Manaslu Circuit Trek. Instead of staying in the village all day, take a short hike to Birendra Lake or enjoy a walk toward Manaslu Base Camp, depending on your fitness level. These hikes help your body adjust to the higher altitude while offering incredible views of glaciers and snow-covered mountains. Return to Samagaon for another overnight stay.
Walking Time: 3–5 hours (optional hike)
Today’s walk is shorter, allowing your body more time to adjust to the altitude. The trail follows open valleys with stunning mountain views. Along the way, you may see yaks grazing in the alpine meadows. Samdo is the last permanent village before Larkya La Pass and offers a peaceful Himalayan atmosphere.
Walking Time: 4–5 hours
Spend another important acclimatization day before heading to higher elevations. You can enjoy a short hike to nearby viewpoints or explore the surrounding hills for excellent views of the Tibetan border region and the surrounding mountains. This extra day greatly improves your chances of crossing Larkya La Pass comfortably.
Walking Time: 3–4 hours (optional hike)
Today’s trail is shorter but reaches a much higher elevation. Walk across rocky paths and alpine landscapes while enjoying wide views of glaciers and mountain peaks. Dharamsala is a simple mountain lodge where trekkers rest before crossing Larkya La Pass the next morning.
Walking Time: 4–5 hours
This is the biggest highlight of the Manaslu Circuit Trek itinerary. Start early in the morning and slowly climb to Larkya La Pass, one of Nepal’s most spectacular mountain passes. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. After spending time at the pass, descend carefully through glacial valleys to reach Bimthang.
Walking Time: 8–9 hours
Today’s trail is mostly downhill through forests, rivers, and green valleys. The warmer weather and changing landscapes make the walk very enjoyable. Cross wooden bridges and pass small villages before arriving at Tilije, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Walking Time: 6–7 hours
After breakfast, enjoy a short walk to Dharapani, where the Manaslu Circuit joins the famous Annapurna Circuit. From Dharapani, take a local jeep to Besisahar while enjoying views of rivers, waterfalls, and mountain villages along the way.
Walking Time: 3–4 hours
Driving Time: 4–5 hours
Leave the mountains behind as you return to Kathmandu by road. The drive follows beautiful rivers, hills, and rural landscapes. After arriving in the capital, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Driving Time: 6–7 hours
Today is a free day to relax after your Manaslu trek. You can visit local markets, explore cultural sites, enjoy traditional Nepali food, or simply rest at your hotel. It is also a good opportunity to buy souvenirs before returning home.
This extra day provides flexibility in case of unexpected road conditions or weather delays during your Manaslu Circuit Trek. If everything goes according to plan, you can use this day to explore more of Kathmandu or join an optional sightseeing tour.
Your 16-day Manaslu Circuit Trek comes to an end today. Depending on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to the airport.
